Our Mission

Athena Baptist Church exists to share the good news of Jesus Christ for the glory of God and the good of all people.

We believe that there are only 3 things that are eternal…God, his Word, and People. Therefore we share the good news of Jesus Christ (Word) for the glory of God and the good of all people.

This is accomplished by:

Regularly Gathering for Worship and Prayer
Faithful Preaching and Teaching
Caring Community
Regular Evangelism
Joyful Service

Grow

Followers of Jesus are growing in their relationship with God and knowledge of His Word. We do this primarily on Sunday mornings by gathering for worship and preaching, in small groups, and regularly on our own.

Connect

Followers of Jesus connect meaningfully with other followers of Jesus. We do this in small groups and encourage you to gather with other Christians on your own as well.

Serve

Followers of Jesus are called to serve God by serving others. This service should be directed both inward (towards the church) and outward (toward the community).

Share

Followers of Jesus help others follow Jesus. Tell people what God has done for you, invited them to church, share your story.
