ABC Children's Ministries

ABC Children's Ministries (ABCCM) began providing preschool and child care to families in August of 1991 and has taken on different forms over the years. It started as an all day child care program for infants and toddlers with preschool happening at the same time. In 1996 the child care expanded to include children up to ten years old. In 2004 it changed to solely preschool in the morning and a licensed after school child care program in the afternoon. The preschool now serves both 3-year-old students and Pre-Kindergarten students. The after school program now serves children from 5 to 12 years old.

ABC Preschool

At ABC Preschool we focus on providing our preschoolers with a foundation of Biblical truth and developmentally appropriate learning opportunities. We know that preschoolers learn best through hands-on activities and imaginative play. We provide healthy snacks and encourage healthy bathroom habits and hand-washing skills. We teach science, art, P.E. and Bible activities. Our Pre-K students focus on Kindergarten readiness skills as well. Our 3-year-old preschool is a 3 day a week class happening Tuesdays-Thursdays. It is for children who have turned 3 by September 1st or for children who are not proceeding to Kindergarten the following fall. Please contact us for current tuition rates. Our Pre-K preschool is a 4 day a week class happening Mondays-Thursdays. It is for children who have turned 4 by September 1st or for older children who are proceeding to Kindergarten the following fall. This program begins to prepare children for the expectations of full day Kindergarten. Please contact us for current tuition rates.

After School Program

The after school program is a licensed child care program for school aged children up to 12 years old. We are open Monday-Friday from 2:40 - 6 p.m. We follow the public school district's schedule for closures and holidays observed. We will occasionally provide additional care on in-service days when the need presents but are closed for spring and summer breaks. We transport children from Athena Elementary daily and receive Weston Middle School students as they walk from the bus stop to our site. We provide healthy snacks, homework assistance, and a variety of daily activities which include: home economics, Bible lessons, arts and crafts, drama and imaginative play, physical education, movie days, games and music. We offer daily and drop-in care for children and consequently we bill both slot and hourly fees depending on the care need. Please contact us for current rates.
